Business Collaboration & Connection Requests

Objective:

Enable organizations within SideIQ to collaborate with each other through connection requests, shared jobs, and transferable activities. Once both parties accept the connection, they can securely share data and workflows.

Core functionality

1. Connection Requests (Company-to-Company).

• Any organization can send a connection request through the Companies module (Companies Collection) to another organization also using SideIQ.

• Request contains:

  • Organization name + contact person

  • Purpose of collaboration (e.g., "Architect for permit application")

  • Optional message

• The receiving organization can send the request:

  • ✅ Accept

  • ❌ Refuse

  • ⏳ Leave pending

  Upon acceptance, a CompanyConnection record is created (relational model between companyA and companyB with status and metadata).

2. Shared Collections & Maps.

Upon acceptance:

• Both organizations can share Collections (with read/write permissions by card type).

• Supported scenarios:

  • Forwarding assignments (TaskGroup or ActionItem).

  • Share quotes (Opportunity)

  • Transferring activities or customer contacts (Contact, Record)

• Access is scoped: each card contains a sharedWith array defining which partners have access.

• AI can context-aware determine which fields are shared (no internal notes or private data).

3. Tasks & Workflow Forwarding.

• From any Card (task, quote, inspection, etc.) an organization can:

  • "Forward to partner company" → select connected organization.

  • AI automatically suggests what is relevant to share (status, attachments, deadlines).

In the receiving company, the card is copied as a new card within their own collection, with metadata:
